NATURESCAPES
Shooting wild landscapes is a lot harder than I originally thought it would be. What began as an attempt to faithfully reproduce the stunning natural vistas in which I would find the subjects I was seeking - birds, mammals, reptiles - is turning into a challenge for myself. To grow as a photographer, I want to be able to capture my vision of the world, to re/present what I think is important, and to bring unseen and wondrous lands to new audiences. There is a deep-seated fulfilment to be found in these places, and our acquire-consume-dispose culture only stands in the way. Here's a small glimpse of what I've been lucky enough to experience.
CITYSCAPES
Urban landscapes offer so much potential to showcase the ingenuity of man. Much of this is seen by locals everyday, but this project aims to let viewers see familiar sights with new eyes, reminding us that these grand vistas have all been created and recreated thanks to the power of the human spirit.
